Getting to and from the airport to the hostel is easy in Christchurch. Whilst there are lots of options, the cheapest and easiest options are to either get a Bus, and Uber or an Airport shuttle.
Our hostel is located in the centre of Christchurch City and within walking distance to the City’s Bus Exchange, and depending on the time of your arrival and your luggage, this is probably your cheapest option. The number 29 Airport -City via Fendalton route is the fastest and most direct option but it would be a good idea to check the timetable as these do not run all night.
An Uber is a great option if you are travelling alone or as a couple and these can be booked as usual through the Uber app on your smartphone. Your Uber can pick you up and drop you off at the airport and you can find instructions on the designated pick up and drop off points on the Uber website.
Airport shuttles can be handy for late night drop offs to the airport but are less convenient on arrival to Christchurch as they generally require booking in advance and often means you have to wait for a bunch of other people to get dropped off or picked up.
